Dog Training

Becoming a Mindful Canine Leader

Convenient for You

Training will take place in your home

The very place where the pack dynamics play themselves out.

Plus, who needs another place to be in an already busy life?

After we have determined our goal(s) for the training session, I will discuss the behavior we are seeking and demonstrate how to achieve it with your dog multiple times. Then I will coach you through the process. The process is called positive reinforcement training.

You May Be Thinking

What is Positive Reinforcement Training?

We want to “catch” a dog doing something right and immediately “mark and reward” that behavior with one or more of the four primary reinforcements.

I will teach you how to shape the behavior we are seeking with hand signals and progress to a single verbal command.

I will help you to communicate with your dog using effectual body language and a controlled verbal tone to develop you into the mindful leader your dog will want to follow.

What You Will Need

  • A positive attitude.

  • A clutter-free area in your home that offers minimal distractions and plenty of open space

  • 5-6’ Non- retractable leash

  • Tasty training treats that are quick to deliver and easily consumed by your dog (8-20oz bag)

  • When can you expect results?

Training and behavior modification is a gradual process; there is no immediate gratification. Consistency and Patience are keys to being a mindful leader.

That depends upon how much time and effort You are willing to put into training after I leave your house. What I teach the pack during a training session will be your homework assignment until my next visit.

What You Can Expect From Me?
